Icon Management Limited was formed in January 2003 for the purpose of enabling its director, Don Etherington, to continue to work in the construction industry on a freelance bassis, both direct for clients or through agencies, this website is to afford potential clients the opportunity to see what experience I have gained and to check that my relavent qualifications needed to manage a construction site in the UK are up to date.
I am a Site Manager of over twenty years experience, with excellent problem solving and organisational abilities, first class communication and team building skills, a comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, a thorough understanding of CDM regulations, the importance of compliance and a work ethic that is second to none, enabling the delivery of projects on time, within budget and of the highest quality.
It should be noted that my reasons for working freelance are not a lack of dedication, or reluctance to accept responsibility, but that I realised some time ago that if my employer was unsuccessful in securing the next project they would have to let me go, I am happy to provide services for a few days or an entire project, and while I would prefer the latter I will, if available, undertake short term assignments with just as much enthusiasm and dedication.
I would also like to assure any potential client that if I accept an assignment I will complete it and not abandon the project.
